I have two identical scarf clips for sale at the time of this listing, and they're being sold individually. The price is for one scarf clip. They were manufactured by the French company HQ. "Toujours Fidele" (Always Faithful) appears on the reverse along with the "HQ" but I'm not certain if this is a part of the company name or their motto/slogan. I was told these are circa 1950s. They are of an unknown metal.
You'll see similar clips sold as earrings, especially if there is an identical pair, but these are indeed scarf clips. They feature a cicada, a common decoration in France, especially in Provence, and a filigree design. The clips measure ⅞" across.
