This green, French, ceramic still bank is circa late 1800s and in the shape of a shoe with a floral relief design on the upper. The shape/style of the shoe is reminiscent of sabots, often worn in Brittany (Bretagne) through the 19th century. There are no chips, cracks or crazing to the bank, but there are some imperfections in the glaze as shown in the fifth and sixth photos as small, raised areas.
Dimensions are 5.25" x 1.75" across the portion with the coin slot.
