This vintage redware teapot has a chicken or rooster painted on one side along with a floral motif surrounding the chicken and one floral motif on the other side.
The lid has a chip as seen in the fourth photo, but this is not visible when the lid is in place, and it does not detract from the piece's beauty. Also, there is some crazing as seen in the second photo. Please let me know, if you require more photos, and I'll be happy to oblige.
I believe this is probably Japanese redware and circa 1950s. The pot is approximately 6.50 inches from the tip of its lid to one of its feet on the base. It holds approximately 5 cups.
