This button is in beautiful condition for its age. I try only to state the facts in my descriptions on here, but I must let you know that this is an exquisite button!
Please let me know, if you need more photographs. A crane walks through reeds on this approximately 5/8" shiny brass button. Please note areas of wear, seen most clearly in the first photo without the sunlight in the second photo. At close to 6:00, there is a spot of tarnish and there is some tarnish on the surface of the button, in particular, the background behind the crane.
Backmark reads Loud & Cie, Paris.
As for the age of this button, thank you to http://pweb.netcom.com/~jimyce/bm.html for their very informative site. They aren't certain as there is a question mark after this manufacturer with the date 1820s.
This button will be mailed via Priority Mail, which comes with $50.00 insurance. If you prefer it mailed uninsured First Class in an envelope with bubble wrap, do let me know. The cost will be $3.00.
Thank you for looking.
