This French, bébé brooch measures 1 ¼" x 3/16" and has a push/pull trombone type clasp.
The clasp alone would point to an earlier period, but the rounded hinge is a more accurate indicator of age, which would be circa 1930s.
Possibly 800 silver but there is no hallmark (nor maker's mark) so I can't definitively say.
