This antique black, floral brooch with red stones has a working C clasp and is circa late 1800s, early 1900s. I believe the brooch is comprised of Vulcanite, a type of rubber. The stones appear to be glass.
I don't believe this is a mourning brooch because of the red stones (although a deeper red stone, like garnet, was acceptable to use in mourning jewelry.)
Dimensions are 1.5" in length and 1" at its widest. The brooch was purchased from France.
