This 18th century holy card depicting Sainte Suzanne (Santa Suzana) is framed behind glass and from France. There is a hook on the reverse by which to hang it mounted on a thin balsa-like wood. I would not attempt to remove the holy card owing to its apparent fragility and the fragility of the frame and wood.
Dimensions are 3" x 2 ⅛".
Sainte Suzanne's feast day is August 11 and she is the patron saint of gardeners. She is often invoked by those in the field of horticulture.
*****Condition: There is considerable wear and discoloration to the holy card as well as to the thin metal frame and the reverse of the piece. A piece of the wood backing is missing in the upper left corner. Again, I would not attempt to remove the holy card owing to its apparent fragility, the fragility of the wood backing, and the fragility of the frame.
