Antique, French Photo Brooch, Circa Early 1900s, with Photo of Two Young Children
This antique, French photo brooch is circa early 1900s. The reverse has an H, a key symbol, and an S for the manufacturer. "SME Brevete" means that the brooch design has been patented. La Pratique (the practice) and SGDG, which is part of the patent designation, also appear on the reverse.
The reverse as well as the front of the brooch, especially the floral and heart border, have wear in the form of scratches and discoloration. Please examine the photos carefully and do let me know if you need more as I'll be happy to oblige.
The closure is a working C clasp, and the diameter of the brooch is approximately 1.25".
