This letter opener, French trench art, has the years "1914-1915," "a ma," and "titōu" engraved along with designs. "Titou" is a nickname for Antoine, and I hazard a guess that this was made by a soldier as a souvenir for his son.
This antique piece is 8.5" in length, and it is ¾" at its widest portion, along the blade.
