Antique, French, Folding Corset Lace or Button Hook

This antique, French folding hook was used for shoe buttons or corset laces. It is circa 19th century and of an unknown silver-colored metal. It has an intricate design with one side reading: Weil Freres Chaussures, Gros et Detail (Weil Brothers Shoes, Wholesale and Retail). The reverse reads: 8 Rue Rualmenil Epinal (street address and the city). It measures 3 ⅞" open and 2 ½" closed.
