*****Usage: I believe this to be tin-glazed earthenware so I would not use this pitcher for serving or consumption of liquids.
This yellow and brown glazed pitcher with side-placed handle is circa 19th century. It is French (possibly produced by Mielle Frères [brothers] of Radonvilliers).
Dimensions are 4 ½" in height and 3 ½" from spout to lip. The lid is 3 ½" across.
*****Condition: Please note the piece is old and has flea bites where the ceramic is chipped. The two areas where the chips are larger than flea bites are shown in photos nine and ten. Photos nine and ten show the chips that are approximately ¼" across. Both occur on the lid, its edge and underside. Additionally, there are some rough areas (one seen in the sixth photo at the lip's interior) that occurred during the glazing process. If the glaze is not evenly applied, some areas may lack shine and smoothness once fired.
Do examine the photos carefully and please let me know if you would like more as I'll be happy to oblige.
