This medal from France is signed by the artist A. Soleau. It features a doberman on the face of the medal and a laurel leaf wreath on the reverse, bordering the area that could be engraved. A. Soleau produced work during the Art Deco era so I am dating this conservatively as being circa 1940s. I'm inclined to believe this is silver-plated, but there are no defining marks, either hallmarks or maker's marks.
Dimensions are 2" across so it is a large medal by wearable standards.
