This double-sided, antique (circa 1870) glass and metal locket from France encases a leaf, lock of hair and ribbon. It may be a memento mori, and the leaf looks to be ivy, which symbolizes immortality, among other things. It measures 1 ¼" or 32 mm, not including the bale, and has some wear on the metal as well as scratches on the glass. Please examine the photos carefully and do let me know if you require more as I'll be happy to oblige.
There is no hallmark or maker's mark on the metal.
