Sabot Chocolate Mold, Made by Unis of France

$40.00

This vintage chocolate mold in the shape of a Breton sabot or clog is made by Unis of France. Besides the company name, it bears two numbers-- 1270 and 34-- as well as a logo and the word "Nickelium," which is another name for nickel. I estimate this mold to be circa first half of the 20th century so I'll conservatively date it as circa 1950s.

The entire piece measures 7" x 3 ¾" at its widest.

*****Condition: Please note the metal has wear to it commensurate with use. Also, there are no clips to hold the mold together. These would have to be purchased separately. Last and perhaps most important: If you intend to use the mold, the bottom portion must be compressed firmly before clips are attached to prevent leakage. You may need more than one clip on this bottom portion to ensure the mold can be closed as much as possible.

Thank you for looking.
