This fly brooch from France measures approximately 1". It has a C catch, but I don't believe it to be an antique; I consider it to be vintage costume jewelry. The metal is gold colored with an iridescence to it in a certain light. The pearl is faux, and there are no maker's marks nor hallmarks.
