This antique, French, cherub brooch dates to the early 1900s. The clasp as well as the end of the pin extending past the brooch's edge are indications of the time period.
I am uncertain as to the metal composition, but I believe there are one or two faint boar's head marks on the reverse. Still, I cannot be sure.
The metal does have some wear to the face of the cherub, so I believe if this is silver, it is probably at the lower content end, maybe 800.
Dimensions are 1.25" x 1".
