First Communion, Silk Moire, Boy's Armband (Brassard), Circa Early 1900s, from France

This approximately 11" (from uppermost portion of bow to end of tassels) silk moire First Communion, boy's armband or brassard is circa early 1900s and from France. The bow is approximately 5 ⅞" across. Please note I have not attempted to clean the armband but will leave this up to the discretion of the new owner.

*****CONDITION: The silk does have discoloration owing to age, and there is some fraying to the middle portion of the bow at the uppermost point along the edge. Also, there is a tear that is approximately ¾" as seen in the eighth, ninth, and tenth photos. The tassels are unkempt, and while this may be able to be remedied, I will leave this up to the discretion of the new owner. The piece is fragile owing to the material and age. Please examine all of the photos carefully, and do let me know if you need more photos as I'll be happy to oblige.
