French, Art Deco Pendant/Medal, "Le Matin," by Medalist E. Fraisse

Sorry, this item has sold.

"Le Matin" (The Morning) was a French newspaper, published between 1884 and 1944. Politically, the paper leaned towards nationalism and was anti-parliamentary and anti-Communist, particularly after WWI. The female figure on the face of the medal holds a quill to represent writing.

This medal, of unknown metal that bears no marks, is circa 1920s-1930s and is Art Deco in style. It measures 1" across at its widest. The medalist's name, E. Fraisse, appears on the medal's edge.

Medal has wear to the face and reverse. Please examine the photos and do let me know if you would like more as I'll be happy to oblige.

Thank you for looking.
