This antique brass, figural pocket knife is from France and circa late 1800s. It features a mouse peeking out from the toe portion of a shoe on both the front and back.
The blade measures 1 ⅜". When closed, the shoe/mouse measures 2 ⅛", not including the bale. At its widest, the shoe/mouse is approximately 5/8", not including the protruding blade when the knife is folded.
There is a bale at the top of the shoe's toe so this knife can be worn as a pendant.
