This antique holy water font (benitier/stoup) is from France and consists of an enameled and bronze cross and stoup/font mounted on marble. The back of the marble has a brass plate and a ring by which to display the piece.
This benitier dates to the end of the 19th century and measures 6.5" x 4" in its entirety. The enameled and bronze cross measures 4" x 2.5". The interior of the font itself is lined with white enamel.
Please note that the marble has areas of imperfections, specifically seen on the edges of the cross in photos nine and ten and on the front of the marble in the first photo toward the bottom left side of the font. The enamel does have areas of wear and many imperfections. Please examine the photos using the zoom function and do let me know if you would like more photos as I'll be happy to oblige.
