Toledoware or Faux Damascene Compact with Floral and Bird Motifs

This powder compact, with faux damascene floral and bird motifs, has no maker's mark. It measures almost 3" across and is empty except for the powder screen.

****Please note that this is faux damascene. Real damascening would have gold or silver foil inlay instead of the painted details you see on the compact lid.

****Condition:

--The mirror has some oxidation in the way of discoloration/spots.
--Also, the interior of the compact has wear and discoloration as seen in the eighth photo.
--The second, third, and fourth photos show an area of wear, seen most clearly in the third photo, and loss of luster on the bottom edge, seen most clearly in the fourth photo.
--The ninth photo shows a more pronounced loss of luster on the lid's edge.
--The central area of the lid (Please use the zoom function to view the first photo, in particular.) has areas of wear where the black has worn. Also some of the small diamonds on the compact's border are missing the black.
