Russian, solid cast metal icon of Our Lady of Kazan. The plaque measures 3" x 2.5" and weighs a substantial 10.2 ounces. I am unsure as to the metal composition or the age, although when I acquired the icon, I was told it was "not to be found today."
The piece is roughly cast so it must be handled with care; there are considerably rough edges. There are two holes at the top for hanging. Alternately, the icon can be displayed on an easel as seen in the last photo. I do not believe the icon is suitable for wearing owing to its rough edges and the weight of the piece.
