This antique picture frame is French and in the Empire-style. It measures 4.25" x 3.75" and is comprised of an unknown metal. The sides are a softer composition than the frame's border and ornamental metal ribbon that surround the face. There are five soft metal tabs on the reverse that hold the backing consisting of cardboard, a piece of white paper, and green moiré wallpaper. The ring by which to hang the frame is at the top behind the ribbon ornamentation.
Condition: *Please note wear to border of frame by using the zoom function.
*One of the five tabs, the one at the bottom of the frame, is just about ready to fall off.
*As seen most clearly in the ninth photo, please note the scratch in glass that is deep enough to be able to be felt with
the fingertips. The scratch measures a tad short of ¼".
*The last photo has two arrows denoting a roughened, chipped glass edge. This is not readily visible when the frame has
a picture in it and is displayed. Please let me know if you would like more photographs as I will be happy to oblige.
