This circa 1930s belt buckle is of Bakelite and from Belgium. Each side measures 1 ⅜" and 2 ¾" in its entirety. The piece has the characteristic chlorine-like odor of Bakelite when rubbed vigorously between the fingers.
There is tarnishing on the metal loops on the reverse, and one does not move as freely as the other, but they're both functioning.
