These antique, electroplated sugar tongs are in the Filet pattern (originally by Christofle), also known as Fiddle Thread in the British version of the pattern. They were purchased from France, but I believe them to be of British origin. The "A" stands for "standard quality," as opposed to A1, which would denote superior quality.
Dimensions are 6" in length.
Please note the electroplate, although polished gently with a baking soda paste, has significant wear in the form of scratches and some discoloration. Please let me know if you would like more photographs as I will be happy to oblige.
